Before you start, please read the examination paper IN FULL and review the presentation linked below.
Half term is looming, please use this week to try to decide on your theme within environments - the earlier you decide the better so you can make good use of your time away from college.
For this week and next week (half term) you will have several tasks to complete. In order to stay on track, these should be completed by Wednesday 22nd February...
For this week and next week (half term) you will have several tasks to complete. In order to stay on track, these should be completed by Wednesday 22nd February...
Tasks now to complete:
- General mind map around the theme 'environment' ie. Nature, man made, social/economical influences etc.
- Specific mind map around your chosen area of study within environments - including artists/photographers you may wish to look at, techniques, materials, colour schemes, images as inspiration etc...
- Two full artist studies, including annotation (brief history, your likes/dislikes with their work, how it could inspire your own work), examples of their work and your own interpretation.
- Photographs gathered as first hand evidence (buildings, people, textures, colours, landscapes, weather, relationships... depending on your chosen theme)
- Observational drawings - at least 2 double page spreads (4 if you're working in A4). Make sure you work with multiple mediums to show experimentation!!
- A gallery visit (include tickets, maps, photographs, postcards, drawings, notes you have taken etc... evidence your trip - but make sure the images and information you include is relevant to your chosen theme)
Good luck and enjoy your (productive) half term!
